15-year-old boy dies in Rogers County crash; 2 other teens hospitalized
ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) -- A 15-year-old boy died in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Rogers County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2004 Jeep Liberty crashed at County Road East/West 350 about a half mile east of County Road North/South 420 five miles west and two miles south of Chelsea.
Troopers aren't sure who was driving, but the 15-year-old boy was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the Jeep. He died at the scene.
A 14-year-old boy was flown to a Tulsa hospital and a 17-year-old boy was first taken to Claremore hospital before being transferred to a Tulsa hospital. Both are in stable condition.
It's not clear if either of the surviving teens were wearing seatbelts.
All three boys are from Chelsea.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
