3-month-old dies after being found unresponsive at in-home day care

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (KTUL) -- Broken Arrow police have launched an investigation after an infant was found unresponsive Friday morning at an in-home day care.

Officer James Koch says police and fire responded to the home near 51st Street and 209th East Avenue just before 10 a.m.

Paramedics tried to revive the 3-month-old boy during the ride to the hospital, but the baby was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are investigating the death and surrounding circumstances. The medical examiner's office is also conducting an investigation to determine cause of death.

The remaining children at the day care were picked up and DHS responded to the location.

Police don't expect to provide an update until after the weekend.
