The Logan County Sheriff's Office has released video from a camera worn by a deputy that was shot and killed while serving an eviction notice.
Body camera video footage shows the moments Deputy David Wade serves the notice just before 9 a.m. April 18 at a home east of Mulhall.
In the video, Wade approaches the home and is met my 45-year-old Nathan Leforce. Leforce states that he is at the home helping two residents move. Wade speaks with all three of the people on property before running their names and information through his system. Shortly after he walks back to the home where Leforce approaches him, pulls a weapon and fires at him. Footage of Leforce firing the weapon has been taken out of the video.
Authorities say Wade was shot multiple times in the face and body by Leforce.
Leforce reportedly then stole Wade's cruiser and fled the scene, dumping the vehicle at a convenience store near Langston before stealing another vehicle.
Leforce was taken into custody after a nearly five hour manhunt in rural Logan County.
Wade was taken by helicopter from the scene of the shooting to an Oklahoma City hospital, where he later died. Funeral services for Wade have been tentatively set for 1 p.m. April 24 at Lazy-E Arena in Guthrie.
