TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- The boyfriend of a woman missing since early November took his life Wednesday around the same time officers served a search warrant on his home.

Police haven't released the man's name at this time, but officers were searching for clues about Samantha Puckett's disappearance when they arrived at his house.

The 29-year-old woman last had contact with family members Nov. 7, and her family said the absence was out of character.

On Wednesday morning, officers were serving a search warrant at a home near 26th Street North and North Utica. They entered the home and found Puckett's boyfriend dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police say officers could smell gun powder upon entering the home.

Police have not released the man's name at this time. It's not clear yet how soon before officers arrived that the man died.

The investigation into Puckett's disappearance is ongoing.
