Broken Arrow Public Schools held their Board of Education meeting Monday night to discuss and vote on their plans if a proposed teacher walkout happens in April.

The Board of Education unanimously voted to close all the district schools for up to 25 school days.

The Board of Education voted 5-0 to authorize Superintendent Dr. Janet Dunlop to close all District schools for up to 25 school days, provided that such days must be made up if required by law, wish such closure to occur only if a teacher "walkout" is scheduled by teacher groups or organizations and if the superintendent determines that such school closures are necessary for the safety of students and for the fiscal integrity of the District in order to avoid the necessity of hiring substitute teachers.
