Cattle rustling suspect arrested in Haskell County; 2 others wanted
HASKELL COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) -- One suspect is in jail and two others are wanted for cattle rustling in Haskell County.
Deputies took a report Jan. 31 that five head of cattle were stolen from the Kinta area and soon learned another four head were stolen from a different rancher in the same area.
The Haskell County Sheriff's Office asked for help from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture's special agents. During the investigation, they leared four of the stolen cattle were sold at a local livestock auction and another three were found on a pasture in rural Pittsburg County.
So far, investigators have located seven of the nine stolen cattle and identified three suspects, one of whom has been arrested for outstanding warrants in Haskell County.
The sheriff's office anticipates arrest warrants for the cattle theft soon.
