Claremore couple arrested after photo of baby in laundry bag shared on Snapchat
CLAREMORE, Okla. (KTUL) —
On Dec. 11, a Hominy police officer contacted the Rogers County Sheriff's office after his girlfriend saw a picture on Snapchat of a Claremore couple's small baby in a mesh laundry bag hanging from a door handle, police say.
After getting a copy of the picture, Rogers County police made contact with the father, 23-year-old Paul Chuckluck, and mother, 21-year-old Johnnie Gaghins.
Gaghins stated Chuckluck placed the 9-month-old inside the bag and tied the knot and placed the bag on the door handle, police say. Cpl. Woods from the Rogers County Jail says Chuckluck admitted to placing the baby inside the bag.
Gaghins stated that she thought it was funny and took a picture of the child then uploaded the picture to Snapchat, according to police.
Chuckluck was not aware that Gaghins had uploaded the picture to social media, police say.
Both Chuckluck and Gaghins were placed under arrest for child abuse and neglect and transported to Rogers County Jail without incident.
