Coffeyville schools investigating gun threat; 1 person taken into custody
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (KTUL) -- Coffeyville school leaders say police were called Wednesday after a student threatened to bring a gun to school.
According to the Coffeyville Unified School District, administrators learned a student was threatening to bring a gun to the high school Thursday. Police responded and took one person into custody.
The district says no other students were involved.
"We take all threats of this nature very seriously," reads a statement posted on the district's website.
No other information is being released.
