'All clear' given after bomb threat at Coweta Walmart

Walmart is cutting around 7,000 back-office jobs across the U.S. in an effort to put more employees on the sales floor, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal and Reuters. (KTUL)

COWETA, Okla. (KTUL) -- Police say Walmart in Coweta was evacuated Friday afternoon due to a threat.

According to the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office, a bomb threat was called in around 1:30 p.m.

Coweta police did a sweep and came up empty. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad arrived around 2:30 p.m. but found nothing suspicious.

The scene was cleared shortly thereafter.

Police have traced the call and are still investigating.
