Craig County Sheriff's Office and OSBI investigates shooting in Vinita
VINITA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Craig County Sheriff's Office has asked the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation after a shooting in Vinita Friday night.
OSBI said an attorney in Vinita, 57-year-old Karl Jones, was arrested for allegedly shooting Jason Sauer who is a Vinita High School coach at a home near South 440 Road and East 277th Road.
Sauer was shot several times and was transported to a hospital in Tulsa in critical condition.
OSBI said the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation.
Jones was arrested on the scene for shooting with intent to kill and booked into the Craig County jail.
