Creek County searches for handcuffed man who ran away from courthouse
BRISTOW, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Creek County Sheriff's Office says they are looking for a man who ran away from the Bristow Municipal Courthouse Saturday afternoon.
Deputies say the man was over an hour late to court for a Failure to Appear charge.
The man was handcuffed in the hallway during a recess waiting to see the judge when he bolted out the door.
The sheriff's office said they think the guy got scared and ran.
Deputies say they don't believe the man is a threat.
After interviewing his family, CCSO said they think a family member might have picked him up there.
