Deputies arrest wanted man after pursuit into Jenks
JENKS, Okla. (KTUL) —
Deputies say a man wanted on a felony warrant is in custody after an early morning chase.
Around 1:30 a.m., a Tulsa County deputy tried to stop an SUV with no lights on its trailer near 51st and Peoria, but the driver took off. Deputies say the driver was going at a high rate of speed and running stop signs.
The driver eventually stopped at a residence in Jenks before getting out and making a run for it, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies say he tried to hide in a boat but was taken into custody.
The sheriff's office says the suspect, 25-year-old Nicholas High, is wanted out of Okmulgee County for felony possession of controlled drugs. He was arrested on multiple complaints, including drug possession, felony eluding and driving under suspension.
