ELECTION DAY: Oklahoma voters head to the polls Tuesday
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Voters across the state are heading to the polls Tuesday to decide a number of elections.
Three seats in the state legislature are up for grabs. House District 76 and Senate District 37, which cover parts of Tulsa, will be on the ballot. Voters in Oklahoma City will also decide on Senate District 45 in Oklahoma City.
Tulsa voters will also decide on seven propositions to change the city's charter. One of the most significant is proposition six, which would allow city employees, including police officers and firefighters, to participate in campaigns for mayor, City Council and city auditor.
Sand Springs voters will decide on an $18 million bond, which covers everything from public safety to park enhancements. It would also pay for a new ladder truck for the fire department.
