Two Skiatook families were displaced early Wednesday morning after multiple duplex buildings caught fire.

Firefighters responded around 12:30 a.m. and found flames in the attic and coming through the roof of one of the buildings. A man who lives in one of the homes says he was at work when he got word of the fire. His wife and son made it out OK.

At least one of the homes is considered a total loss.

The two families that were displaced told officials they had somewhere they could go and turned down help from the Red Cross.
