Family of missing Wyandotte man desperate for answers
It's been more than two weeks since 24-year-old Eli Moss went missing.
Eli disappeared without a trace one hot June afternoon into some woods, just off East 176 Road near Highway 10 in Wyandotte.
"And that's the last time anybody saw him," said Eli's Aunt, Bobby Lockner. "All he had on was a pair of gym shorts, a pair of sandals, no shirt."
Lockner said the police have come up empty, but that hasn't stopped Eli's mother from searching.
"She's been out beating the bushes, and doing it all on her own," said Lockner.
Out of character for the man they know and love.
"Yeah, he might take off for a minute or so, but not like this, to not be in contact with any family member whatsoever," said Lockner.
Days without word and nights without sleep.
A search for answers only leads to speculation.
Speculation has a way of growing, and pushing its way in.
Soon, it seems real enough, and painful enough to stab like a knife.
"You know, he could be laying out there cold somewhere, and nobody with him," said Lockner.
But it's hope that gets them through the day.
Hope that this will be over soon, and Eli will once again walk through their door.
