Girl taken to hospital after being shot in north Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
A girl is recovering in a Tulsa hospital after being hit by a bullet.
Police say the victim and her cousin were talking to a man in a parking lot near Pine and Peoria when the man pulled out a gun and demanded the cousin's wallet. The victim's cousin drove off before the man started shooting at the vehicle, according to police.
One of the bullets struck the victim, who was in the passenger seat. The driver then went to an area near Cincinnati and 8th Street and called 911, according to police.
The suspect is a black man in his early 20s and about 5 feet, 11 inches tall with long black hair, according to police. He was last seen wearing a black and blue hoodie and blue jeans.
Police say the victim is expected to be OK.
