Glass worker for Tulsa schools recovering after being burned on the job
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Tulsa Public Schools says one of its workers is recovering after an accident occurred on the job.
Jon Pulliam was etching glass Dec. 21 when his clothes caught fire, according to a district spokeswoman. Team members responded and used a fire extinguisher to put the flames out.
Pulliam was taken to the hospital with for his burns.
Tulsa Public Schools says its maintenance team "includes a number of skilled craftspersons who manage upkeep and repairs for district buildings and sites."
"We are keeping Mr. Pulliam and his family in our thoughts and prayers," a spokeswoman said in a statement. "We continue to be in close touch with his family and while prayers are deeply appreciated, we would ask that they be given privacy at this difficult time."
