Man hospitalized after drive-by shooting in north Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Tulsa Police are investigating a drive-by shooting near East Zion Street and M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard.
Officers were sent to the north Tulsa home after someone said they had heard gunshots.
A few minutes later, they received a call saying a man showed up to OSU Medical Center in Tulsa with multiple gunshot wounds.
After questioning the victim at the hospital, police learned the 24-year-old man was shot in a front yard at the same address where shots were heard.
The victim told TPD he was standing in the front yard when a gold mini van pulled in front of the house.
The driver fired his gun at the victim and then continued to drive west toward M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard.
The victim suffered three gunshot wounds to the left lower torso and leg. He sustained non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, the victim said he knew the suspects.
Officers say the suspect wore all black and was driving the gold mini van. The front seat passenger in the van had dreads in his hair.
