A Broken Arrow murder suspect who died in the Tulsa County Jail last year did so of natural causes, according to a medical examiner.

Caleb Lee, 25, suffered an upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage before he died Sept. 24, according to a report from the Medical Examiner's Office. Lee was found on the floor of his jail cell that morning, but he was able to walk himself to the medical unit. He later died while receiving treatment.

The medical examiner says the hemorrhage was caused by an ulcer. He also suffered from hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

Lee was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting outside the Walmart near Albany and 177th Sept. 6. Police said at the time they believed Lee and the victim, 27-year-old Dylan Parker, had met up for a drug deal.
