Body of missing swimmer recovered from Lake Eufaula
MCINTOSH COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) -- The body of a swimmer who went missing Sunday afternoon on Lake Eufaula was recovered Monday morning.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 24-year-old Casey J. Reilly was swimming away from shore around 2:40 p.m. Sunday at Eufaula Cove when he went under water about 150 feet out and never resurfaced.
OHP said Sunday Reilly, of Temecula, Calif., was with a group of people and two women went looking for him before authorities arrived. They said he was intoxicated.
Reilly's body was recovered at 7:40 Monday morning in 7 feet of water using dragging operations and side scan.
OHP says Reilly was not using a personal flotation device.
