New court documents show pattern of sexual assault involving Bixby football players
BIXBY, Okla. (KTUL) —
A source close to the Bixby sexual assault investigation says a second investigation has launched involving at least one of the football players involved in the first investigation and a new victim.
It's been rumored for months now that there's been more than one sexual assault involving members of the Bixby High School football team. A new pattern emerged today showing concrete evidence that a sexual assault has happened before.
Four different charges of second-degree rape were handed down today by the Rogers County District Attorney. The four charged are all football players at Bixby. Tulsa's Channel 8 has chosen not to name them because they are 16 and 17 years old.
The new affidavit reveals startling evidence about the sexual assault that took place during a team dinner at former Bixby Superintendent Kyle Wood's home. According to the testimony of one of the players charged, there may have been a plan to assault the victim with a pool cue at the dinner.
Authorities say one of the players said something along the lines of "the deeper it goes, the louder he screams."
The assault victim says he knew what was about to happen when the players went upstairs because something similar had happened the year before.
The court documents established an alarming pattern of sexual assault. A source says the second sexual assault investigation happening now and the alleged sexual assault happened at a different team dinner.
A grand jury investigating this case interviewed the football players charged back in January. The grand jury will meet again next week, but this time, it's the adults who are in line to be questioned.
