Northwest Oklahoma Complex fires now over 90 percent contained

A complex of multiple, large fires is now over 90 percent contained as fire dangers remain "near critical".

Oklahoma Forestry Services reports that the Northwest Oklahoma Complex fire is now 94 percent contained. The complex, burning Beaver, Harper and Woodward counties, is made up of four large fires: Starbuck, Selman, 283 and Beaver.

Overall the complex has burned over 800,000 acres, multiple homes, and hundreds of livestock.

OFS reports that fire weather conditions will be in "Elevated" to "Near Critical" levels Monday in most regions of the state as near record temperatures hit the area.

Residents are urged to be cautious with any outdoor burning. Those impacted can receive help here.
