OHP: 4-year-old drowns in Oklahoma lake

Authorities say a 4-year-old boy has died after drowning in a southwest Oklahoma lake.

OHP troopers responded around 7 p.m. to the scene at Tom Steed Reservoir on Sunday for reports of a juvenile going under water.

Officials say the boy, from Altus, was on a duck-shaped raft in the swimming area when a gust of wind caught the float and carried him further out into the lake. The juvenile then jumped off the raft into the water and never resurfaced.

Authorities say the boys body was recovered Sunday night. His name is not being released.
