OHP trooper still 'critical' after being hit by car
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper is fighting for his life Monday morning after being struck by a car.
Officials say Saturday night, troopers were chasing a vehicle on I-35 near Norman. Lieutenant Heath Meyer was laying out a spike strip on the road when he was hit by a different car.
Lt. Meyer was taken to OU Medical Center where he's listed in critical condition.
Police were able to apprehend the driver in the pursuit, who's been identified as 28-year-old D'angelo Burgess. He's facing six felony charges.
