'Aggravated, habitual' sex offender arrested on child pornography charges in Rogers County

Oklahoma sex offender arrested on child pornography charges; Lutz, David (DOC)

A convicted sex offender has been arrested on child pornography charges.

David Lutz, 44, was arrested for two counts of possession of child pornography in Rogers County Nov. 2. According to court records, videos and photos were found on Lutz's computer and his cell phone that had content consistent with child pornography.

Investigators say Lutz' wife found the child pornography on his phone on two occasions, according to court documents. Browsing history reportedly showed searches on the phone targeting infant nudity and bestiality.

Lutz was convicted of lewd or indecent proposals/acts to a child in Delaware County in 1990, court records show. In 1998, he was convicted of sexual battery of a person over 16 in Delaware County. Five years, later, he was convicted of first-degree rape and failure to register as a sex offender.

The Oklahoma Sex and Violent Offender Registry has classified Lutz as an "aggravated and habitual sex offender."

Lutz is being held on $70,000 bond.
