Oklahoma Turnpike Authority votes to increase tolls by average of 2.5 percent
OKLAHOMA CITY (KTUL) —
Beginning in January, it's going to cost you more money to use the state's turnpike system.
The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority voted Tuesday to increase tolls an average of 2.5 percent at the start of the new year. That means a trip to Oklahoma City will increase from $4.50 to $4.75, though it will be 25 cents cheaper if you have a Pike Pass.
Tolls are scheduled to go up another 2.5 percent in July 2019.
The Turnpike Authority says the money will go toward turnpike improvements and expansion projects.
