Owasso FOP to host fundraiser for teen run over by car
OWASSO, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Owasso Fraternal Order of Police is trying to help out the family of a young man who was at one point fighting for his life.
The 13-year-old boy was run over in the parking lot of a Reasor's Feb. 5 and taken to the hospital with severe injuries. His condition has improved since then, but he was moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, for special treatment and his family is struggling to pay his medical bills, according to police.
So, the FOP is hosting a breakfast fundraiser for the family Saturday at the Rib Crib in Owasso (8551 North 129th East Avenue). Police say all proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the family.
The event runs from 7 to 10 a.m.
