Police: Pedestrian injured after running into traffic at west Tulsa intersection
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Police say a pedestrian was injured Tuesday morning after being hit by a vehicle near Tulsa Hills.
It happened near 71st and Union around 11 a.m. Witnesses told police that a man in his 30s ran out into the intersection and was hit by an SUV going northbound on Union.
Police initially said the victim had died but officers on the scene say the victim was still alive when taken to the hospital.
No charges will be filed because there was nothing the driver in the SUV could have done to avoid the man, according to police.
This is a developing story.
