Police: Woman delivering newspapers finds man dead in south Tulsa street
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Police are investigating after a body was found in the middle of a south Tulsa street.
Police say a woman delivering newspapers found a man lying in the street near 61st and Peoria around 5:15 a.m. Thursday. The man was face down and had been shot in the head, according to police.
Detectives are working to identify the victim. Police say people who live nearby didn't see or hear anything this morning. Officers believe the body was dumped in the neighborhood by someone.
"I think what we’re looking at is that they were driving down the street and pushed the body out of whatever vehicle they were in," said Sgt. Dave Walker.
No suspect has been arrested.
This is a developing story.
