Police identify victim of Tuesday homicide near OU campus

Police have identified a woman killed Tuesday in a homicide near the University of Oklahoma campus.

Norman Police Department spokesperson Sarah Jensen reports that 27-year-old Brittani Young was found dead just before 3 p.m. April 24 in an apartment at the Emerald Greens, 2800 Dewey Avenue.

A suspect, 29-year-old Joe Alliniece, was arrested late Tuesday in Oklahoma City after police say he fled from the scene.

Witnesses tell police that they observed Alliniece stomping on Young's head while she lay on the floor. Alliniece faces a complaint of first degree murder.
