Police investigating 3 separate shootings in south Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
It's been a busy night for officers in the Mingo Valley division.
Police are investigating three different shootings in south Tulsa that have occurred since Thursday night. One person is dead and another two are injured, but some of the investigations are proving difficult.
It started when a woman was found shot to death outside Woodland Hills Mall around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Police are having a hard time determining if the woman shot herself or if someone else shot her, and surveillance video hasn't proven helpful.
Later, another shooting happened just a few miles down the road. A masked man shot a homeowner at 91st and Mingo over a debt the homeowner reportedly owed someone, according to police. As of now, investigators don't have a good read on who the suspect might have been.
Finally, a man was shot at the Avondale Apartments around 2:45 a.m. Friday. Police say some sort of fight occurred between the victim and a friend before the shooting occurred. Investigators originally said the victim was in "very critical" condition, but they now say he is in the hospital and is expected to survive.
