Homicide detectives investigating after body found behind Tulsa County Jail
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Homicide detectives are on scene after a body was reportedly found behind the Tulsa County Jail.
Police say a citizen found the body around 7:45 a.m. and reported it to a Tulsa County Sheriff's detention officer who told a deputy. That deputy called it into police. Homicide Sgt. Dave Walker says a white male who appears to be homeless was found with trauma to his body on a trail near I-244.
Walker said police believe the murder happened after the storms rolled through overnight.
Police are still trying to identify the man. They do believe the suspect is a member of the homeless community.
This is a developing story.
