Tulsa police are looking for suspects after two deadly shootings this morning.

The shooting was reported around 6 a.m. at Savanna Landing apartments near 61st and Peoria. Homicide Sgt. Dave Walker says the 40 year old man was shot in the parking lot, around 6 this morning. Shortly after, an 18 to 20 year old woman was found dead inside an apartment.

Police say Ervin Sam is the legal name of the male victim. His friends, social media and court records show that he also went by Teddy Clark. Sargeant Dave Walker says investigators knew who he was.

“I think what I am talking about is, he had knowledge, of murders and he chose not to talk to us so he took his chances,” said Walker.

Ann Douglas a friend of Teddy Clark, says he was a good person, trying to make better decisions. He had recently been a part of a community picnic, she said. “Teddy bought the jumping Jupiter out here. He bought the music out here for us. He helped us provide t-shirts and face painting for the kids,” said Douglas.

Police are still looking for suspects.

Police have identified the victim as Ervin Sam but a close family friend says he was known as Teddy Clark. Police say the man has multiple aliases.

Walker said the victim, who was confronted while he was getting out of his car at the complex, is well known in the 61st and Peoria area and is believed to have "bad blood" at the complex.

“He was banned from here," Walker said. "His girlfriend lived here. Evidently, he was showing up to take some kids to school when he was confronted, shot and killed.”

Walker said police are also familiar with the victim.

“I know he’s been out here before," he said. "We had a murder out here about a year and a half ago and he was a part of that."

Investigators believe there was only one shooter, but multiple shell casings were found at the scene.

Police have not released any information about a possible suspect, but Walker said there were multiple witnesses to the shooting.
