Police: Man shot in face while walking in north Tulsa neighborhood
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Tulsa police say a man is recovering after an early morning shooting in north Tulsa.
Officers responded to the call near Pine and Sheridan around 4:30 a.m. Friday. Police say a man was shot in the face while walking along East Newton Street.
The victim was able to flag down police and EMSA to take him to the hospital. Officers said he was able to talk when he was transported and should be okay.
The man's younger brother was walking with him when he was shot, according to police. The victim lives in the neighborhood where he was shot.
Police say several shots were fired, but the victim was only hit once.
Police still don't have a clear description of the car the shooter was in. They have interviewed several people in the neighborhood.
