Police say a man is in jail after getting caught with a large amount of methamphetamine in his car.

Police stopped a vehicle that failed to signal a left turn around 1:30 p.m. Sunday. After officers conducted a traffic stop, a police K9 smelled drugs in the car. Police say they found 44 pounds of methamphetamine in the car.

The driver, 58-year-old Kevin Jameson, was arrested for aggravated trafficking of meth and failure to signal, according to police.
