Police seek ID on attempted armed robbery suspect


TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- Tulsa police are trying to identify a suspect in a June attempted armed robbery.

Police say it happened around 7 p.m. June 29 at a business near Admiral and South 73rd East Avenue. The suspect approached a cashier, laid a box of shoes on the counter and walked away.

Police say the man then approached the cashier a second time, raised his shirt to show he had a gun and told the cashier to open the register.

The suspect didn't get any cash and ran away from the store.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his early 40s with brown hair and wearing a blue baseball cap, burgundy shirt and jeans.
