Police: Masked man shoots south Tulsa homeowner over debt
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
A south Tulsa man is recovering after being shot in his home overnight.
Officers responded just before midnight to a home near 91st and Mingo for a reported shooting. Police say a masked man showed up at the back door of the home over a debt that the homeowner owed someone.
The person who was owed the debt had reportedly made threats to burn the house down, according to police. The homeowner stepped outside and told the suspect that he would pay the money, but police say the suspect shot him.
The homeowner was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
