Snow possible in Green Country overnight into Friday morning
A weak storm system is moving through the region Thursday night.
There will be a chance for some light snow for areas along and south of Interstate 40. Light accumulations will be possible too, with a few areas south of I-40 picking up one to two inches.
Due to the extremely cold conditions, travel problems could be an issue for I-40 travelers by early Friday morning.
Southwest Airlines issued a travel advisory for Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Dallas, Little Rock, Lubbock and Memphis ahead of the weather. Flights could be delayed, diverted or even canceled late Thursday and Friday, according to the airline.
Snow chances will move out by mid-morning Friday and a few rays of sunshine will be possible by the afternoon.
