Suspect in April 7 murder named Tulsa's Most Wanted
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- A man wanted in connection with an April 7 murder is now Tulsa's Most Wanted.
Dameon Leathers, 36, is accused of killing 50-year-old Howard Thompson in the driveway of a home near 56th Street North and North Peoria. Police say Leathers and 27-year-old Lloyd Clemons tried robbing Thompson because he was known to carry large amounts of cash. Thompson was shot to death instead.
Police say the home where Thompson was found appeared to have been burglarized but showed no signs of forced entry.
Clemons was arrested a few days after the murder but Leathers remains on the loose. He is considered armed and dangerous.
