TCSO: Detention officer arrested, accused of inappropriately touching inmates
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
A Tulsa detention officer has been arrested on sexual battery complaints.
Rickardo Williams, 38, is accused of touching at least two inmates inappropriately, according to the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. Multiple victims told investigators that Williams had touched them and made inappropriate gestures toward them, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The sheriff's office reviewed security footage of the alleged incidents, according to the affidavit. One witness told investigators that Williams spoke sexually to "most of the inmates" in the pod he was assigned to, the affidavit says.
Williams was hired as a detention officer on March 1, according to the sheriff's office. He was placed on unpaid leave May 22 before his arrest Friday.
Williams is being held on $40,000 bond.
