Tulsa police officer injured in head-on collision with suspected drunk driver
A Tulsa police officer is being released from the hospital this morning after he was involved in a head-on collision with a suspected drunk driver.
Police say Officer K. Hoey was driving home early Thursday morning when a black GMC pickup hit him head on. Both vehicles were heavily damaged, and Hoey was taken to the hospital.
The driver, 48-year-old Richard McMorris, was arrested on complaints of driving under the influence of alcohol, causing an injury accident and failure to maintain lane.
