Water line bursts south of Tulsa hospital due to freeze
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
A waterline burst just south of St. Francis in south Tulsa Monday due to frozen water in the pipes, causing a significant risk to drivers as the leaking water creates an icy build up on the roads around the hospital.
According to the crews on the scene, it was a 12-inch break that is about 10 to 13-feet deep. Repairs are being made on Yale between 66th and 67th.
The hospital is not affected by the break.
Crews are expected to be there working on repairs throughout the night and into tomorrow, a member of the crew says.
