Wild Heart Ranch asking community for help with over 500 baby animals

Wild Heart Ranch asking community for help with over 500 baby animals (KTUL)

Wild Heart Ranch takes in all wounded or misplaced wild animals.

The group cares for cotton tails, raccoons, birds, fawns, skunks, badgers, foxes and so many other kinds of animals every day.

Right now at the Wild Heart Ranch they have too much of a cute thing going on, if you can believe that.

But the problem isn't cute at all. It's very serious.

Founder and Director Annette King said they always get orphaned wildlife around this time of the year, but this year things happened so fast.

"The wildlife got busy earlier than normal, I guess you could say," she said.

The ranch is overloaded with baby animals.

"We're at about 500 babies right now," said King.

They are desperately needing donations to help care for all the little ones.

"We just got to feed them all," King said. "We just have to raise the money, find the help and take care of them. The majority of our animals eat every three hours, and the birds eat every hour."

King said they won't be turning any wild animals away, but taking care of so many will be difficult.

She also said they've been getting slammed with calls to take in domesticated animals, but as much as she like cats, King said Wild Heart Ranch is for wild animals only.
