OU's Dalton in the Floor Exercise Final

Oklahoma men's gymnastics senior, and U.S. Olympian Jake Dalton will close out his 2012 Olympic competition Sunday, Aug. 5, in the finals of the floor exercise at 8 a.m. CT.

The event will be streamed live on and aired in primetime on NBC between 6 and 11 p.m. CT.

Dalton qualified for the floor exercise finals after finishing fourth in the qualification round of the team competition on July 28. He finished fifth on the floor exercise in the team finals, as the U.S. finished fifth as a team.

Dalton is a three-time NCAA All-American on the floor exercise, including the 2011 national championship.{} He is also a two-time U.S. national champion on floor (2011 and 2012).

Dalton will compete against Japan's Kohei Uchimura, China's Kai Zou, Russia's Denis Ablyazin, Romania's Flavius Koczi, Isreal's Alexander Shatilov, Germany's Marcel Nguyen and Chile's Enrique Tomas Gonzalez Sepulveda.
