Mike Gundy rocks singlet, 'Big Daddy' mug to promote National Dual Championship
STILLWATER, Okla. (KOKH) —
Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy donned a singlet to promote Cowboy wrestling's match up against Penn State in the National Dual Championship.
Top ranked Oklahoma State wrestling squares off against #2 Penn State Feb. 19 in Stillwater for the National Wrestling Coaches Association Dual Championship. Oklahoma State just wrapped up its first undefeated dual season since 2005 while Penn State is also undefeated and defending national champions. 19 ranked wrestlers could potentially square off in the dual's 10 matches. Coaching the teams? Two of the greatest American wrestlers in history: Del City-native John Smith and Cael Sanderson.
Tickets for the event are still available. The match begins at 3 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Oklahoma State students get into the match for free using their All-Sports Pass.
Next up for the Cowboys is the Big 12 Wrestling Tournament in March 3 and 4 in Tulsa. The NCAA Wrestling Tournament will be held March 16-18 in St. Louis.
