Thunder trade for Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
The Oklahoma City Thunder have completed a last minute deal at the trade deadline with the Chicago Bulls.
The Vertical reports the Thunder have traded Joffrey Lauvergne, Cameron Payne and Anthony Morrow to the Bulls for Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott and a 2018 second round pick.
McDermott, in his third season, is averaging 10 points per game for the Bulls. He was drafted 11th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft. Seventh year player Gibson is averaging 11 points per game.
Morrow has been with the Thunder for three seasons. Payne, in his second season after being drafted 14th overall in 2015, returned to the Thunder mid-season after recovering from foot surgery in the off season. Lauvergne was in his first season with the team after the Thunder acquired him in a trade with Denver.
The team has yet to confirm the trade.
