Westbrook posts NBA-record 42nd triple-double this season

For an NBA-record 42nd time this season, Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook reached double digits in points, rebounds, and assists.

When Oscar Robertson recorded 41 games in a single season in which he reached double digits in three different statistical categories, it was the 1961-62 NBA season. 55 years later, Russell Westbrook surpassed that mark with 42. That came this afternoon in the Thunder's 106-105 buzzer-beater win over the Denver Nuggets. Westbrook shot 17-32 from the floor for 52 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists.

His last shot came with less than a second remaining from 3-point range; sealing the win 1-point win over the Nuggets.
