Westbrook takes NBA Player of the Month for second time this season
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Russell Westbrook has been awarded his second NBA Player of the Month honor of the season.
On Thursday, Westbrook and Lebron James were announced as the Western Conference and Eastern Conference Players of the Month for Feburary, respectively.
Westbrook averaged a triple-double for the month as the team went 7-4. He also pushed his season triple-double total to 30, just one shy of tying Wilt Chamberlain for the second highest season total in league history. Westbrook was also named NBA Player of the Month for November.
The Thunder are back in action at 9:30 p.m. March 2 in Portland.
