TU football ticket sales to help with Hurricane Harvey relief
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- Student-athletes at the University of Tulsa are already lending a hand to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Now the school has announced its participation in relief efforts.
TU will donate all revenue from tickets sold between now and the end of Tulsa's first home football game Saturday, Sept. 9 to the hurricane relief efforts.
All funds will go directly to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, coordinated through the Greater Houston Community Foundation, a public charity.
To support Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund through the purchase of football tickets, go online at TulsaHurricane.com or call (918) 631-GoTU weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The TU Athletics Ticket Office is closed Monday for Labor Day but will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 5.
“With the devastation that has affected so many people in the Houston area, and some of our own student-athletes’ families, we believe this is another way to show our support and lend assistance,” said Dr. Derrick Gragg, Tulsa’s vice president and director of athletics.
Tulsa hosts Louisiana at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9.
