Hi! My name is Aaron Reeves and I joined Channel 8 in March of 2015.
I was born in Tulsa and raised in Skiatook, Okla. Growing up with an agricultural background, weather has always been an important part of my life. It was the Skiatook F-4 tornado in 1991 that really sparked my interest in becoming a meteorologist.
I am very happy to be back in Northeast Oklahoma providing important weather information to my home state!
I attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe (Geaux Hawks) where I received a B.S. in Atmospheric Science. While at ULM I was also a member of the Track & Field team.
I began my meteorology career at KSNT in Topeka, Kan. where I had the opportunity to forecast about every type of extreme or severe weather you could imagine.
Outside of weather, I enjoy being very active. I like to play golf, run, bike, hike and I am still active in master’s track and field competitions. I also serve at Coffeyville Community College as a golf and track coach as well as an algebra instructor.
